The local free-cycle group had a posting for a free 3D printer and everybody wanted it.  The post said to describe what you would use it for and they would decide who gets it. Enter the kids.

"Hey (kid 1), if we had a 3D printer, what would you want me to make for you?"

"A velociraptor resonating chamber!"

"What about you (kid 2)?"

"How about some little cat figurines?"
